Green Councillor welcomed Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme once again in Bray

Green Party Councillor, Caroline Burrell, welcomed the Christmas Tree recycling scheme in Bray again this January which operated in various locations throughout Bray including the Recycling Centre, St. Cronan's N.S., Festina Lente and Enniskerry Bog Meadow. It helps to remove the need for illegal dumping of unwanted trees and helps to provide woodchips to be used on the surfaces of parks and playgrounds.

A Hazardous Waste Collection will also be available in Bray at the Reycling Centre on 19th January which includes Paints & Inks, Solvents, Waste Oils, Drain Cleaners, Detergents, Aerosols, Oven Cleaners and Shoe Polishes. "This Collection is a very important one and well taken up. It was so over subscribed last October that the truck was full within the first two hours", stated Cllr. Burrell.

“Bray takes its recycling very seriously and I would urge members of the public to avail of these recycling facilities and to make sure they recycle as much of their Christmas waste as possible in the normal way. In the coming year, I will continue to press for further improvements to our recycling facility, including seeking funding in this year's 2008 Budget”, concluded Cllr. Burrell.
